Hi, LGN! This isn't Lemming's edit of a post, or Raven's edit of a post. This is a post where I decided to be a complete jack-ass and post a random wikipedia article translated into a bandwidth-consuming Arabic script. To boot, I phrased the poll as two different wiki articles, one of which was about Al Capone, also translated into Arabic. I have no excuse for posting that massive piece of spam, and for that, I apologize.

I'm sorry, but this is like a monument to my breaking of the rules of the internet.

Don't you see this has literally 12,000+ views?

Well, you know how when you go to "random Toast," you see each thread? Next to the name of the thread on the right-hand side of the screen are numbers showing the number of replies, and the number of views.

For example, right now, " Thinking About... What? 2.0!" has 763 replies and 3890 views, which means that the page has been accessed/seen 3890 times. This topic has 12019 views, which means that this page has been seen Twelve-thousand and nineteen times!

Okay, explain yourself, now, or I pull the trigger on the gun I have pointed at the head of this topic, because what I see here is no more than pure spam. You'd better have a better explaination than this "I broke the rules of the internet with massive pageviews" bullshit, because I'm sick of you acting like this is 4chan - it's not, by a longshot - and I don't approve of viewcount whoring any more than I approve of postcount whoring.

Also, I have to say, "a monument to my breaking the rules" was a REALLY poor choice of words as far as my tolerence for bullshit two minutes after waking up is concerned.

Well, okay, it is spam. I admit that it wasn't the greatest idea. But no, it's not 4chan related. The term "breaking the rules of the internet" can apply to anything where conventional expectations (in this case, the number of views that the page has, not the content thereof). Again, I apologize. At the time, it seemed like an awesome lack-of-brains. I was just trying out an idea I had, and I didn't want to use a different thread to test it out in case I accidentally crashed the thread or something (is that possible?). I hope that the fact that I didn't invite anyone here and that I was the only one on at the time is reassuring to you. I'm not sure why I did it, really.

Sorry.

I'm still not clear on what exactly your goal was here, but I can tell you that I don't appreciate the forums being used as some kind of "testing ground." Topic goes to trash; don't wanna see anything like this again.
